The Japanese Maples were amazing in the sun

I got a rare random weekday off, and I did everything I could to enjoy it to the fullest.

Even when you’re treating yourself, you can’t skip leg day in the gym
Got a haircut at a friend’s salon, I swear I’m happier about it than I look
Hiked a couple miles in Washington Park
Hiked up to the Portland Japanese Garden, which just added this restaurant
The afternoon light was just right
This is a tiny 3 foot tall tree, shot from ground level
The zen garden was good too
The view of Mt. Hood above the city from the garden
Bought some sweet socks later on
On the way home, stopped to catch my daughter finishing up a horse riding lesson
Tried building a papercraft skull, sorta worked, Sergey’s is way better
